Is technology making us smarter or dumber?

The fact is undeniable that the average person’s lifestylehaschanged enormously during the last few decades owingto thehuge impact of modern technology. Many technologiesandfacilities have helped us to live convenient standards.Nowadays, differenttechnologicalimprovements can be seen in different fields suchas:education, medical, business etc.

These improvementshavepushed the standard of living. Furthermore, the machineshavechanged working conditions and minimized hard physicallaborand the leisure industries also transformed people’sfree time.In the modern world, the advancement of technologyhashelped the people to work more efficiently which hasalso aided insaving severe effort and time management. Here, inthispandemic phase technology is rolling out like wildfire.Contextually, the internet is enacting as a boon forhumanity.Financial transactions, educational courses, and onlineshoppingare prudent examples of it.

The younger generationsare more likely to takeadvantage of it as they can browse any course on theirown. Thissomehow will germinate the self studying discipline. This willinitiate the own guidance for students. The moderntechnologiesare encouraging and enhancing the capabilities ofevery individualwhich is pouring intelligence and intellectualityin their discipline.

On the other hand, these technologies are smashingcons towardhuman behaviours. It has affected humans as well asthe naturalenvironment. In addition, stress from different aspectsof workhave reduced the quality of life in social terms. The access tomany advanced things have affected social relationships negatively.

Most of the people communicate virtually which isgaping the social intimacy and is cracking the boundaryofhumanity. The problem is mainly observed among theyouth but itis slithering toward the rest of the groups. The technologyishitting youths heavily, they are lost into chatting, video games, roaming around unwanted contents. This is transcendingyoungergenerations to have the weakest social life.

If youare a teenager,do you spend most of the time with your gadgets, orwith yourpeers and family? If you are a parent , does yourchild spend timewith you and other family members or do they spendtheir time inthe room playing games? Most of the surveys and studieshavestated that younger generations are lost into socialmedia ignoringevery relationship outward. Moreover, the debatable question “ is technology makingussmarter or dumber ?” is not still absolute with answersbut ischaotic as every human personality conveys diverseviews. In conclusion, my perspective realises that technologiesdoesn’tmake us neither dumb nor smart.

It is us who chooseto besmarter by making the best of what technology hasto offer.People should start thinking not only about technologybut alsoabout what sort of intellectual and moral being theywant to be.This will help us in driving our creativity of technology.

In strivingto humanize the internet in this way, there may bethe chance ofbecoming a smart person . All these conditions dependon us, ourprecise work and dedication as no technology willdo the job for us.
